NanoJet Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

None. NanoJet does not collect any personal information, usage data, or analytics from users. The app operates entirely offline on your device.

2. Data Storage

All data created by NanoJet is stored locally on your Mac:

• Downloaded Files: Saved to your Downloads folder or location you choose
• Download Queue: Stored in your Mac's local application support folder
• Settings & Preferences: Stored locally using macOS UserDefaults
• Temporary Files: Created during downloads and automatically cleaned up

No data is sent to external servers or third parties.

3. Network Usage

NanoJet only uses network connections to:

• Download files from URLs you provide
• Verify file integrity after download (optional)

The app connects only to the servers hosting the files you choose to download. No analytics or tracking connections are made.

4. Permissions

NanoJet requests the following macOS permissions to function:

• Network Access: To download files from the internet
• File Access (Downloads Folder): To save downloaded files
• File Access (User Selected): When you choose a custom save location
• Automation (Optional): To enable the "Shut down when done" feature

All permissions are used solely for download management functionality.

5. Chrome Extension

The optional NanoJet Chrome extension:

• Detects download links in your browser
• Sends download URLs to the NanoJet app using a local URL scheme
• Does not collect or transmit any browsing data
• Works entirely on your local device

The extension only communicates with the NanoJet app on your Mac, not with any external servers.

6. Third-Party Services

NanoJet does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

yt-dlp Integration: If you choose to download YouTube videos, NanoJet uses the open-source yt-dlp tool. This tool connects directly to YouTube servers. NanoJet does not log or transmit this activity.

7. App Updates (App Store Version)

NanoJet distributed through the Mac App Store uses Apple's built-in update system:

• Updates are delivered by Apple, not by us
• We do not track which users update or when
• Apple's privacy policy applies to App Store update services

8. Data Security

Since NanoJet doesn't collect or transmit user data, there is no user data at risk. All your downloads and settings remain private on your Mac.

Code Signing: NanoJet is code-signed with our Apple Developer certificate to ensure the app you download hasn't been tampered with.

9. Children's Privacy

NanoJet does not collect any information from users of any age. The app is suitable for all ages and complies with children's privacy regulations.

10. Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data about you:

• There is no data to access, modify, or delete
• You have complete control over all local data on your Mac
• You can delete the app and all its data at any time

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of NanoJet after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
